Andy’s Little Umbrella
(Mike McCornack)
When the sky turns grey,
And the pavement puddles,
With drops splish splashing all around.
Down your neck they trickle,
The droplets tickle,
The whole world dances to the sound.
As we dodge each puddle,
We hug and huddle,
As we go walking through the town, under
Andy's little umbrella, little umbrella, little umbrella,
Andy's little umbrella, little umbrella, little umbrella.
Then he asks me why,
In the vast night sky,
That the moon is nowhere to be seen.
Well, the moon's just hiding,
It keeps on shining,
Behind the clouds that come between.
Soon the winds will blow,
And the clouds will go,
And the moon will start to glow again, over
[chorus]
Winter storm, full force,
We're inside of course,
And the thunder rumbles like a train.
So it's hide and seek,
Count to ten, don't peek,
Hide your eyes 'cause here I come again.
Where did Andy hide,
Well, he's gone outside,
I can hear him singing in the rain, under
[chorus]
And the rain still falls,
As the sandman calls,
We can hear it dancing on the pane,
And tomorrow we will play again, under
[chorus]
