Let me introduce you to a cow I used to know
When I was just a little space cadet.
Buelah Merriwether was her name and brother
She was like no other bovine I have met.
Buelah insisted that life would be a dud,
Following tradition by just standing chewing cud.

So she got it in her head that she would enter Harvard
And get herself a bachelor's degree.
Harvard was not excited when they heard a cow'd decided
To enroll and study cow psychology.
Harvard sent a bureaucrat to tell old Buelah "no"
But this is what she said when she insisted she would go...

"No one can tell you what you ought to do,
What is right for me, might be wrong for you!"
Travel with the herd or try for something new,
Like Buelah Merriwether Moo. (Who?)
Buelah Merriwether Moo.

Buelah packed her bags and all her books and all her rags,
And caught the cattle train for Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Though some thought it strange old Buelah quickly changed their minds
About the range of bovine intellect.
Buelah's grades were great and soon she earned her cap and gown,
And as she graduated all of Harvard heard this sound,
