Nothin' Too Heavy

(Carleen McCornack)

Been with you a time or two when things went wrong,
When life seemed like nothin' but a worn out song
Dreaming dreams until the sun came shining through
Hoping the day would make one dream come true.

I hope it stays the way we found it
I can't seem to live without it
Baby, which way you going down the road,
There's nothing too heavy to love.

A man needs a place where he can live and belong,
But without a light to shine on him the nights sure get long,
Freedom isn't freedom till you've used it some,
But knowing where we're going couldn't hurt us none.

I hope it stays the way we found it
I can't seem to live without it
Baby, which way you going down the road,
There's nothing too heavy to love.

Hasn't been too much that's made us feel we belong,
Each time things look better something else comes along,
Sometimes it seems like years ago that we began,
It hasn't gone as easily as we had planned.

I hope it stays the way we found it
I can't seem to live without it
Baby, which way you going down the road,
There's nothing too heavy to love.
